Dawn began exhibiting her work as an interior design and art history undergrad. While continuing into her master’s degree studies in fine art, she began her career as an art teacher. Dawn taught parochial, public, and charter school students ranging from pre-Kindergarten through pre-college. Most of her time as an educator was at the South Bronx Charter School for International Cultures and the Arts. There she directed the arts programming across three campus buildings. With her fellow art teachers, she curated an exhibition-based arts program focusing on fine art specialties and cross-curricular integration. Dawn shifted back to the studio in 2015, since exhibiting across the country and Europe.
